Redesign, Brand Identity

GIGER COFFEE

For Giger Kafi, a traditional coffee brand deeply rooted in Bernese culture, I led the complete redesign of the brand identity with the intention of honoring its heritage while introducing a sharper, more contemporary expression. At the heart of the concept stood the Bernese bear — a powerful regional symbol that I reinterpreted with clarity and confidence to retain its recognizability while giving it renewed relevance. I refined the mark into a more concise and modern form and replaced the original box in its paw with a stylized coffee bean, subtly reinforcing the brand’s connection to craftsmanship and product origin. The visual language balances reduction and character, combining a rich brown and soft cream base with yellow accents that reference both coffee tones and the Bernese flag. Structured Bauhaus-inspired typography adds Swiss precision and timeless clarity to the system. The result is a cohesive brand identity that remains authentically grounded in Bern while confidently evolving for a new generation of customers.
