GENESIS.EXE

Created in collaboration with Swiss DJ Carla Durisch, Genesis.exe explores a provocative vision of a near future where the boundaries between human life and artificial creation no longer exist. The concept imagines a world in which machines are capable of carrying and delivering human life. Within this narrative, Carla appears as a symbolic figure—no longer entirely human, not fully machine—an engineered entity preparing to bring a new being into existence.

From concept development to art direction, set design, and styling, I constructed a futuristic environment that reinforces the narrative. Cables and technical elements were integrated into the set to suggest a system that sustains and controls the process of creation. Carla’s appearance was transformed using liquid latex to achieve a smooth, synthetic, almost plastic-like surface. Combined with a distant, emotionless gaze, the visual language evokes the unsettling presence of a machine programmed for creation—beautiful, powerful, and slightly disturbing.

The result is a striking and provocative editorial series featuring the queen of techno in a radically reimagined form. Blending futuristic aesthetics with conceptual storytelling, the project questions authorship, creation, and control in a future where technology may no longer imitate life—but generate it.
